Clear aligners are removable and generally less noticeable than metal braces. They can make eating and daily oral hygiene more convenient during treatment. Whether they are appropriate depends on your teeth, bite, health, and the movements required.

Wear your aligners for the schedule prescribed by Dr. Emmy and remove them only as instructed. Consistent wear matters, but your exact daily schedule and tray changes should follow your individual treatment plan.

Invisalign® treatment uses a planned series of custom aligners that apply controlled pressure to move teeth gradually. Change intervals and the number of aligners vary, so follow the schedule Dr. Emmy provides rather than changing trays early.

Some patients notice temporary pressure or tenderness when starting a new aligner. Experiences vary. Contact our office if an aligner causes sharp pain, does not fit as directed, or you have concerns between visits.

Rinse aligners with cool or lukewarm water and clean them using the method and products Dr. Emmy recommends. Avoid hot water, which may distort the material, and keep brushing and cleaning between your teeth before replacing the aligners.
